Session 24: The City Of Dyvers

PCs:

Mia the elf, T1/MU1

Trenaccatlo, F1

SESSION REPORT:

After the dangerous adventuring on Lortmill mts, Mia finds a fighter named Trenaccatlo and some other men for hire and decide to follow some rumors all the way to Dyvers and see what is going on with the pirate problems that the city is facing.

After two weeks of traveling by the river, the party reaches the city of Dyvers. Unfortunatetly, their ship on its way there, will be attacked by pirates. The captain, realising they don't stand a chance against them, agrees to surrender and the pirates take every coin and valuable the crew and the passengers have.

So, on Patchwall 23 the party is penniless and they start working to make some money. After 3 days of work at the port, they make a few coins to buy some equipment and they also learn about the Tower of Zenopus, an old mage tower that is now abandoned and where some sailors believe that the pirates could have their lair.

The group works for a week at a local inn where Mia will use her skills as a thief to steal some money from a rich merchant and buy some mules for the groups. With that done, they march towards the Tower of Zenopus.

On Ready'Reat 11 they reach the Tower without any problems and they investigate the dungeon below it. They will find some goblins there that they will be able to overcome. They killed all of them except one that they interrogated to get some intel about the rooms of the dungeon. Once he cooperated, they allowed him to live (and leave).

Having gain valuable information, they return back to the city of Dyvers with no problem, with the exception of Mia trying to steal a merchant they met causing him to hate them. Shit happens.

THOUGHTS AFTER THE SESSION:

This was one of the few sessions that Korin's player couldn't make it, so the party didn't have its stronger PC. However the remaining players handled the situation really well and they paved the way for another successful dungeon crawl.

I decided to put the Tower of Zenopus close to Dyvers. I wanted to try this dungeon, I have only played it once and I would love to run it! Fortunately I got the chance there and it was a really fun dungeon.

Also, this was the first session after many where the Loot And Kills part wasn't empty! About damn time, right? After many missfortunes, time for the party to gain some strength! Let's go!

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day I

Wonderfull news! Me and two players from the OSRIC campaign attended the European OSR convention known as Cauldron in Germany! I will cover on this post how I experienced this truly amazing convention! Bare in mind that some details might have be mistaken because I didn't expect to write a report about it but I am so fired up by the con that I really want to share as much as I can! Also there will be major spoilers for every module I was involved in so be warned that if you want to play them in the future, skip carefully that part! Let's go then! THE TRIP     I began the journey to Germany from Athens where I live. I met Nico, my only compatriot in this adventure, at the airport on Thursday morning, the first day of the convention. I must admit that in the beggining I was a little sceptical about this whole expedition. I didn't know any of the guys involved in person besides Nico, I hadn't been in Germany before so we were really...

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day II

After a crazy day of an exhausting trip, a great on-train session provided by Nico and an unbelievable Braunstein game, we took a much needed nap. However it wasn't meant to last for long because at 7:30 we had to be awake to bath, reach the dinner table at 8 and after that enlist ourselves for a game! Let's go! THE BREAKFAST     It's worth mentioning that our food was delicious and it was all created by the volunteers and the families of the Nexus club that hosts the event! They worked endlessly to make sure everything was provided and the result was unbelievable! I wish I could express how grateful me and everyone else is for this effort! A lot of cheese, coffee, sausage and juice found its way to our bellies and we were ready to begin our adventures!!!     Once again be warned that the rest of the report contains spoilers for every module that I took part in, so if you want to avoid them, skip the specific section. Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Days III+IV

The first two days of cauldron had exceeded any expectation that I could possibly have! Every game was great, from the crazy Braunstein game to the deadly tournament module and the slaying of dragons and mad cultists, we were all having a great gaming time! Personally, my only concern was to get down for lunch on time in order to be able to enlist myself for the games I wanted. But that was not the case for the third day of Cauldron.       You see, the previous day we were informed that a great naval wargame would take place and we had already signed ourselves up! Just like the Braunstein game, it would take place on the gaming world of the ADDKON campaign and me, Nico and Mitch were excited to take part in this! So, we woke up, ate our breakfast and got ready to fight! NAVAL WARGAME BATTLE The table is set for battle     DM Ghoul have made the ambitious decision to run a great naval wargame on Saturday with 7 different factions forming up two...
