Session 4: The Short Session

PCs:

Urikas the elf, F1/MU1
Samwich Baggins, halfling, T1

SESSION REPORT:

Once again, the party needed to spent one week resting before they will be able to adventure. Zyla decided to help the local temple of St. Cuthbert. Spugnoir who almost died but was saved by the PCs, reveals that he joined the party because he heard rumours that a warlock lives in the Moathouse and he was interested in magic items that he could have.
The local trader offers 4 hirelings to come along to the party's adventures at a good price. So, at Reading 6th the party heads back to the Moathouse. There however they met a strong resistance from a group of brigands. One hireling perished and since the group had some injuries, they retreated back to Hommlet.
Aaaaaaaand that was it for that session! :P

LOOT AND KILLS:

Loot:
136 gp
50 gp worth necklace

Kills:
6 brigands
1 sergeant

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE SESSION:

As you can see, this was the smaller session. It still is to this day. Why is that however?
Zyla's player informed us that he couldn't make it tonight. So the other two started playing. Unfortunately after about half an hour, another player had to leave, so I finished the battle with the brigands with the last layer controlling every party member and we called it a day.
Well, these things happen. Especially when you play through the internet and know the other guys personally, it's possible that things will come up or you will just be bored and leave in the middle of the session. It's the downside of gaming with players from a distance.
Even by playing that little, the party managed to do some damage and weakened even further the defences of the Moathouse. Bare in mind that the brigands and the monsters of the dungeon are not unlimited. Soon enough the bad guy must make a move.
And I have a good one in mind!

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day I

Wonderfull news! Me and two players from the OSRIC campaign attended the European OSR convention known as Cauldron in Germany! I will cover on this post how I experienced this truly amazing convention! Bare in mind that some details might have be mistaken because I didn't expect to write a report about it but I am so fired up by the con that I really want to share as much as I can! Also there will be major spoilers for every module I was involved in so be warned that if you want to play them in the future, skip carefully that part! Let's go then! THE TRIP     I began the journey to Germany from Athens where I live. I met Nico, my only compatriot in this adventure, at the airport on Thursday morning, the first day of the convention. I must admit that in the beggining I was a little sceptical about this whole expedition. I didn't know any of the guys involved in person besides Nico, I hadn't been in Germany before so we were really...

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day II

After a crazy day of an exhausting trip, a great on-train session provided by Nico and an unbelievable Braunstein game, we took a much needed nap. However it wasn't meant to last for long because at 7:30 we had to be awake to bath, reach the dinner table at 8 and after that enlist ourselves for a game! Let's go! THE BREAKFAST     It's worth mentioning that our food was delicious and it was all created by the volunteers and the families of the Nexus club that hosts the event! They worked endlessly to make sure everything was provided and the result was unbelievable! I wish I could express how grateful me and everyone else is for this effort! A lot of cheese, coffee, sausage and juice found its way to our bellies and we were ready to begin our adventures!!!     Once again be warned that the rest of the report contains spoilers for every module that I took part in, so if you want to avoid them, skip the specific section. Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Days III+IV

The first two days of cauldron had exceeded any expectation that I could possibly have! Every game was great, from the crazy Braunstein game to the deadly tournament module and the slaying of dragons and mad cultists, we were all having a great gaming time! Personally, my only concern was to get down for lunch on time in order to be able to enlist myself for the games I wanted. But that was not the case for the third day of Cauldron.       You see, the previous day we were informed that a great naval wargame would take place and we had already signed ourselves up! Just like the Braunstein game, it would take place on the gaming world of the ADDKON campaign and me, Nico and Mitch were excited to take part in this! So, we woke up, ate our breakfast and got ready to fight! NAVAL WARGAME BATTLE The table is set for battle     DM Ghoul have made the ambitious decision to run a great naval wargame on Saturday with 7 different factions forming up two...
