SESSION RECAP:

The party, having defeated and looted the orcs are now guarding the construction team and awaits for the mechanism to be completed so that they can pull out of the cave the dragon statue.

However, after one day of staying here they will be surprised by a large kobold warband that attacked them. A brutal fight will start, with the kobolds being well prepared. They managed to force Nolbor's orc to flee the battle by killing half of them and they also slaughtered quickly the men-at-arms of the group, the architect and the workers. Of course they took heavy casualties too and now the party and its henchmen fight a little more than 100 kobolds. The monsters managed to slaughter most of the party's henchmen and Cleon, Ausillar and Nardik fled the battlefield. The 3 remaining heroes, Korin, Nolbor and Mia used every resource they had, including the last potion of control humanoids, a web scroll and a few sleep spells, as well as the superheroism potion to make Nolbor even stronger and managed to overpower the kobolds. Now however they were standing alone with everyone having fled the scene or lay dead. They decided to break the statue's head and take it with them, since they now had no means of bringing it out so that they will be sure that noone will try to turn it back to flesh. They began the journey back to Humming's End with all the loot and luckily for them they had no encounters in the few hours that the journey took.

Back in Humming's End they informed everyone of the battles they gave, as well as the many loses that their side ended up having. The next day, Cleon, Ausillar and Nordik arrived on Humming's End. They explained that they thought that the fight was over, every ally around them was dead and they decided to run and come back to the village to inform everyone of the looming threat. They begged for the party's forgiveness and the group decided to give them a second chance. However they would take no share of the loot. They accepted it and after 3 days of resting, the group head back to Verbobonc to sell the small dragon statue and the big dragon's head. On their way there, they encountered a group of armed men but ignored them and continued their way.

On Verbobonc, they sold the dragons to Bertham the sage for a very good price. He informed them that the viscount would like someone to take care of the red dragons as well and offers a very handsome reward. The party declares that will take care of that problem as well.

After they sold the rest of the loot, they began training to become even stronger.

THOUGHTS AFTER THE SESSION:

After many triumphs, the party had a random encounter that turned out really bad. They lost almost all their henchmen, including the two clerics that were very valuable since they have noone in their group.

For the battle I used the chainmail rules to resolve the fight between the kobolds versus the orcs, the men-at-arms and the henchmen and normal ADnD rules for the PCs versus the kobolds that surrounded them. I must they that the players' side was extremely unlucky. Since their side was considered heavy footmen and the kobolds light, they needed 5 or 6 and every 10 men rolled twice. However, for the first 16 rolls they had no 5 or 6! Contrary the kobolds that needed just 6s to kill, they mananed to kill the men-at-arms and the orcs that also lost the morale check, which by the way had a 65% of having them stand the ground, but no. Lady luck had other plans.

Eventually the resources of the party were enough and truth be told, they took ALL the loot for themselves. Loot that could be divided by 50 or more! So now, everyone is ready to level up!

And of course, with great power comes great responsibility! Let's see how the group handles business in the next sessions!!!
