Humming's End

 


GENERAL INFORMATION:

    Humming's End is a small village with a population of 520 people. They are mainly woodsmen and hunters. It is run by sir Korin Clubfoot who is the its official protector in the name of Viscount Wilfrick of Verbobonc alongside his companions Dame Mia and ser Nolbor.

    They pay 80 gp totally every year to Verbobonc. Its current rulers have agreed to not raise it further but in return every day 7 locals serve in the local militia to protect the village. 


IMPORTANT FIGURES:

Melin, a trader. He is the main businessman who sells everything besides weapons and has a good working relationship with merchants in nearby villages.

Grebon, the innkeeper. He possesses the only inn of Humming's End. He pays minimal taxes but has agreed to feed the local masters and their henchmen.

Baklunish, a druid. He is the local druid, part of the Druids of the Gnarley Forest.

Flan, the cleric. He runs the small chapel of the village in the name of St. Cuthbert.

Campaign Report: OSR, Quickly (A West Marches Campaign using Whitehack 3e)

  WHAT IS THIS?     In my OSRIC campaign we have a small break of two weeks and since I am up to date with the session reports of that campaign, I will say a few things about other games that I participated in. This one in particular is one that I hold dear in my heart because it was my first OSR campaign that I' ve played and the first OSR sessions that I was a part in! I joined this games discord server on 2021 and played in this game for more than a year! So, I will describe what we did and how it went! THE RULESET     As you can see from the title (and the image at the top of the post), we used Whitehack 3e for this campaign. I have already said that my ruleset of choice is OSRIC/ ADnD 1e but I am open to try other games, just like I like playing games other than DnD from time to time. Session 1: Welcome to Hommlet

PCs: Urikas the elf, F1/MU1 Samwich Baggins, halfling, T1 SESSION REPORT:     At Fireseek 11th of 576 CY, Urikas and Samwich arrived at Hommlet. In the local inn they heard rumours of giant animals frequenting the nearby woods way more often than usual. They decide to go and investigate. They will also take with them a few locals that are willing to help. Elmo the ranger, Spugnoir the magic-user and Furnok the thief.      Thanks to the ranger's tracking skills, they manage to find out that the animals are coming from an old Moathouse, that 10 years ago was used by the cults of the Temple of Elemental Evil to control the area. At the gates of the moathouse they are attacked by 6 giant frogs. They managed to beat them, however the party was seriously wounded in the process, so they decided to retreat and come back the next day.     Indeed, at Fireseek 12th they return to the Moathouse.
