SESSION RECAP:

The party takes a few days to rest, while their ranger came back to life and needed some time to get back on his feet. In the meantime, most of the members are trying to learn any rumours from the local taverns. Luckily enough, an elder adventurer called Ulrath approached them and claimed he had a detailed map of the lair of 3 red dragons that inhabit the Lortmill Mts. He says that these are new to the area, not the ones that Korin faced a few years ago.

After some negotations, the party pays them a lot of money to acquire the map. However, they wanted to ally themselves with the silver dragons that were fighting red ones, so they asked Ulrath to use his and his party magic to locate them so that they can send a message to them with their raven. He agrees for the right price but asks a week to fulfill it. The party agrees and decides to head towards the elven lair in the meantime, hoping that the antidotes that they now possess will protect them from the spiders' poison.

They head there with all there henchmen and hirelings. On their way, they met a group of halflings that are searching for a job. They agreed to meet on Verbobonc in about a week. Other than that, the group's journey was uneventful.

Inside the dungeon, they search the enterity of the first floor. They met some giant frogs and beetles but they easily overpowered them. Besides that, they have found two more doors with warnings about Lolth's minions waiting for them inside. One of them was destroyed and it had stairs heading down. The group decides to rest and the next day, with all their spells available again, they will explore the 2nd floor of the dungeon.

THOUGHTS AFTER THE SESSION:

After many action-heavy sessions, we had one were the party simply explored an already known dungeon making sure that they a full knowledge of the rest of the floor. Not every session has big moments, deaths and massive battles and it makes sense to be honest.

This time, I didn't gave the characters hp for resting, I don't follow strictly the 24 hours rest to give it but you need to have a full night's sleep in a city. I did allow them however to have their spells back.

With their actions, it's possible that they will ally themselves with silver dragons! Interesting! However, they have a dungeon to explore first! Let's see how that will go!

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day I

Wonderfull news! Me and two players from the OSRIC campaign attended the European OSR convention known as Cauldron in Germany! I will cover on this post how I experienced this truly amazing convention! Bare in mind that some details might have be mistaken because I didn't expect to write a report about it but I am so fired up by the con that I really want to share as much as I can! Also there will be major spoilers for every module I was involved in so be warned that if you want to play them in the future, skip carefully that part! Let's go then! THE TRIP     I began the journey to Germany from Athens where I live. I met Nico, my only compatriot in this adventure, at the airport on Thursday morning, the first day of the convention. I must admit that in the beggining I was a little sceptical about this whole expedition. I didn't know any of the guys involved in person besides Nico, I hadn't been in Germany before so we were really...

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day II

After a crazy day of an exhausting trip, a great on-train session provided by Nico and an unbelievable Braunstein game, we took a much needed nap. However it wasn't meant to last for long because at 7:30 we had to be awake to bath, reach the dinner table at 8 and after that enlist ourselves for a game! Let's go! THE BREAKFAST     It's worth mentioning that our food was delicious and it was all created by the volunteers and the families of the Nexus club that hosts the event! They worked endlessly to make sure everything was provided and the result was unbelievable! I wish I could express how grateful me and everyone else is for this effort! A lot of cheese, coffee, sausage and juice found its way to our bellies and we were ready to begin our adventures!!!     Once again be warned that the rest of the report contains spoilers for every module that I took part in, so if you want to avoid them, skip the specific section. Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Days III+IV

The first two days of cauldron had exceeded any expectation that I could possibly have! Every game was great, from the crazy Braunstein game to the deadly tournament module and the slaying of dragons and mad cultists, we were all having a great gaming time! Personally, my only concern was to get down for lunch on time in order to be able to enlist myself for the games I wanted. But that was not the case for the third day of Cauldron.       You see, the previous day we were informed that a great naval wargame would take place and we had already signed ourselves up! Just like the Braunstein game, it would take place on the gaming world of the ADDKON campaign and me, Nico and Mitch were excited to take part in this! So, we woke up, ate our breakfast and got ready to fight! NAVAL WARGAME BATTLE The table is set for battle     DM Ghoul have made the ambitious decision to run a great naval wargame on Saturday with 7 different factions forming up two...
