SESSION RECAP:

The party easily overpowered the enemies and they reached before a locked door, behind of which they could hear careful movement thanks to their trained thieves. They decided to search for a different entrance afraid of some possible trap they could encounter. They managed to find one after they unveiled a secret door in an another corridor. They prepared to attack from both sides at the same time. When they came crashing in however, they saw a small room with a chest and they were hit by some spears that were attached to a trap mechanism to hit however comes through the door. Fortunately it was Mia who withstood that hit with her monstrous constitution.

They searched the room and after a few minutes they found a secret opening that lead to an emergency exit. Unfortunately, the leader of Julio's rival gang has escaped, alongside his valuable shipment. Mia's friend however kept his word and paid the party handsomely as the raid was a great success and they managed a critical hit to Julio's gang, having killed most of his men and destroyed his bar, forcing him to retreat.

They spent some time to have Mia recover from her wounds and they decided to recruit some henchmen and travel back to Humming's End. There, they could reunite with Mukaz and the 9 men-at-arms that work for them and start rebuilding their strength. Many adventurers responded to their call to arms, with a monk, a druid and a ranger among them.

The journey back to Humming's End was uneventful, with the exception of the last day when they encountered a group of angry owlbears. Their horses were ready however and they galloped away, escaping their enemies. With that done, they were back on their village!

THOUGHTS AFTER THE SESSION:

This season is tough for me because my schedule sucks and I don't have the time to play each week like last season. For now that causes trouble because the group is in a rebuilding phase after losing almost every henchman and magical item to the ancient dragon and the big space between the sessions doesn't help.

As soon as they get back to Humming's End however I believe that they will get back on track and we will be back on some dungeon action! It will be interesting to see how they handle Mia's monstrous appearance, especially in a dungeon.

I also didn't name the henchmen, I knew they had a journey ahead and I wanted to see if they will make it first. Now that they did, I will have to get their names before the session! Let's hope they last because the players got a lot of rare classes, especially the monk who came due to a natural 100! Let's see what they can do!

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day I

Wonderfull news! Me and two players from the OSRIC campaign attended the European OSR convention known as Cauldron in Germany! I will cover on this post how I experienced this truly amazing convention! Bare in mind that some details might have be mistaken because I didn't expect to write a report about it but I am so fired up by the con that I really want to share as much as I can! Also there will be major spoilers for every module I was involved in so be warned that if you want to play them in the future, skip carefully that part! Let's go then! THE TRIP     I began the journey to Germany from Athens where I live. I met Nico, my only compatriot in this adventure, at the airport on Thursday morning, the first day of the convention. I must admit that in the beggining I was a little sceptical about this whole expedition. I didn't know any of the guys involved in person besides Nico, I hadn't been in Germany before so we were really...

Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Day II

After a crazy day of an exhausting trip, a great on-train session provided by Nico and an unbelievable Braunstein game, we took a much needed nap. However it wasn't meant to last for long because at 7:30 we had to be awake to bath, reach the dinner table at 8 and after that enlist ourselves for a game! Let's go! THE BREAKFAST     It's worth mentioning that our food was delicious and it was all created by the volunteers and the families of the Nexus club that hosts the event! They worked endlessly to make sure everything was provided and the result was unbelievable! I wish I could express how grateful me and everyone else is for this effort! A lot of cheese, coffee, sausage and juice found its way to our bellies and we were ready to begin our adventures!!!     Once again be warned that the rest of the report contains spoilers for every module that I took part in, so if you want to avoid them, skip the specific section. Cauldron OSR Eurocon 2024 Days III+IV

The first two days of cauldron had exceeded any expectation that I could possibly have! Every game was great, from the crazy Braunstein game to the deadly tournament module and the slaying of dragons and mad cultists, we were all having a great gaming time! Personally, my only concern was to get down for lunch on time in order to be able to enlist myself for the games I wanted. But that was not the case for the third day of Cauldron.       You see, the previous day we were informed that a great naval wargame would take place and we had already signed ourselves up! Just like the Braunstein game, it would take place on the gaming world of the ADDKON campaign and me, Nico and Mitch were excited to take part in this! So, we woke up, ate our breakfast and got ready to fight! NAVAL WARGAME BATTLE The table is set for battle     DM Ghoul have made the ambitious decision to run a great naval wargame on Saturday with 7 different factions forming up two...
